I wish mine would look that happy. Mine look like they're being punished for something. Then (of course) when I put them back in their cage, they immediate start splashing around in their water dish.

Cricket tries to hide under my hair when we're in the shower, which is funny because I'm facing away from the flow so all he does is get himself wet. Last time I tried this, I thought I was going to have to shave my head to get him untangled! But when I actually DO get him out and try to hold him under/near the water, he acts panic-stricken. If I set him down in the tub, he's the most pitiful thing you've ever seen, lol. I'm beginning to wonder if it's the warm water they don't like. Maybe a cool shower would be better?

Ducki doesn't go directly under the spray in the shower. He prefers the sink with a slow flow, and cool water. Or a pie dish of cool water.

He gets really excited if he hears anyone washing dishes

Yeah, before I had a dishwasher I had to wait until after Ducki's bedtime before I could do the dishes. If he hears running water he'll come streaking down from your shoulder.

Don't wash dishes with a Ducki on you shoulder I learned that real quit
