Re: Best Christmas EVER!
Somebirdie is never far from one of us (if he is, he loudly informs us who is missing: "DUCKI! DUCKI!")
As for the champagne - I think the little guy was a tad confused by all the commotion: my parents, my brother, my sister and her husband and her yorkie, a christmas tree, presents, a room he's not usually allowed in...
I'm always impressed by how relaxed he can be. It's like he looked around, saw his people/flock, and said "okay, then"
He even had lunch at the future in-laws once (we stopped there on the way to the airport a few years ago). He sat on the back of my chair and politely and quietly begged food with hair preens and foot waves. That was all. Such a good little bugger!

Re: Best Christmas EVER!
Andrea, I'm so jealous! My little niblet is such a nervous twitch. All someone has to do is drop a piece of a paper and he takes off for parts unknown. I'm hoping he figures out that we're a safe environment!

Re: Best Christmas EVER!
Loud noises will make him go for a flight - but he'll immediately commence a return waddle or inform us we should come get him ('Ducki? Ducki!').
For some reason Ducki decided I was safe really early on - from the day he picked me with neck snuggles and ear kisses (there were 2 Ducki siblings and 4 maroon bellies also up for grabs at the same time), he was comfy. The pic floating around somewhere of Duck sleeping tucked in the back of my shirt is from his first week home
