Well, in case I had any doubt that my mother is getting blind and senile (lol), last night took care of that!  She puts all the fids to bed, covers Callie and Cricket (not completely, mind you), turns off the lights, draws the curtains, etc., and prepares for our usual night of sitting in the dark watching TV.  I'm on the computer and from behind me I hear Freddy hissing and fussing and generally not sounding happy.  Normally he sits there like a little sentry, staring out at us like he's watching the TV, too.  So I turn around -- and Cricket is IN Freddy's cage EATING his food!!!  I should've taken a picture, but I jumped up and ran over there to remove the offending Cricket from Freddy's turf.  HOW THE HELL DID SHE NOT NOTICE THAT ONE CAGE WAS EMPTY AND THE OTHER HAD TWO BIRDS IN IT???????  Poor Freddy!  It took him a while to get his feathers unruffled, and it's a good thing for Cricket that he's a lover, not a fighter.  I mean, he didn't even like Tiki sneaking in there, and they were buds.  Rolling Eyes

I'm sure Cricket thought it was great! Duck thieves the tiel food when we visit my Mom. Must be something about 'forbidden fruit'. Giggle

No, you're right, Andrea. Cricket didn't mind in the least! He was quite distraught over Freddy hissing at him, though. Freddy's a stubborn old coot. He won't even look at food that Cricket's touched!

Jimmy likes to steal from Benny but usually Benny is out somewhere when he visits his cage
