Outdoor pics by Duck's Uncle Mikey

Uncle Mikey is my younger brother and Ducki's official Duck sitter the first year I had him (because Mikey and I shared an apartment at university).

Well, I talked to Mikey today and he has said that poor Zulu has yet to discover her bellybutton. However, she DID discover the spray millet Mikey brought home so she's currently distracted from her quest

Love all the pictures. I can't wait for nice weather to get some of the cardinal family out in the back yard.

Mom doesn't get cardinals (I don't think they get that far north) but she has a crew of bluejays that reprimand her if she forgets to put food out

I don't think it's overly likely - unless she manages it by accident. Poor Zulu is not the brightest star in the sky

And Ducki and Uncle Mikey get along really well! Probably because when we lived together and I had to go to class, Duck had the option of going in his cage or hanging out with Mikey. Guess which he preferred

Wow, those pics are great!! The little yellow birds are so pretty (are they finches? we don't get yellow birds here in VA...all that shows up here is Robins, Doves, Cardinals, and Blue Jays). Looks like Ducki's in heaven seeing his Uncle Mikey. Poor Zulu, keep looking hun, maybe you'll find it one day.

I think the yellow birdies are goldfinches. My mom has quite a diverse outside flock because she puts out different types of seed in different feeders, plus peanuts for the bluejays. After consistently keeping the feeders full for several years, her feathered fan base has grown. Doesn't hurt that she throws the inside flock's rejects out the back window - leftover nutriberries, spray millet, etc.

the robins LOVE the pellets I throw out.
