The first snow storm is usually "beautiful" but the cold and slush gets old rather quick. My outside flocks will agree.

I have a sneaky new Bluejay who doesn't announce his presence or the availablity of peanuts. Usually when there are peanuts to be found any member around puts out the call. Not this guy!!He tries to hord them only to be fouled by the crows who keep a watchful eye on where he stashes them. I'm amazed at how clever my outside flocks are!! Gatta love birds
