Countdown to Ducksitting!

2 Days to go! Ducki had his wings trimmed last Friday and we are starting our adventure bright and early Thursday morning. We are flying to Toronto, where Carol and I will effect a Duck Exchange (Mr. Phil says it's not an exchange because I'm giving Carol a Duck but she's not giving me anything - I said she's giving me a few weeks of birdsitting, isn't that enough?) and then I am going on to New Zealand for the fancy-sounding International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry.

Meanwhile, lucky Ducki gets to make a bunch of new birdie friends: . Carol's going to have quite the flock on hand!

I think Ducki is starting to sense that something's up - he was a bit pissy this morning

Wait til he finds out he has to share attention with 9 others. Oh and I have Shandi's 3 coming next weekend while they move. YIKES! 13 birds in my house.

Hehehe...you'll have to let me know how well he shares. Though, he is completely capable of entertaining himself, and will even do it quietly if he's in the same room as his 'flock'. (from inside the cage, too!)

Sounds like fun! I hope you have a blast-the three of you! I've always wanted to go to New Zealand, but only because I'd want to see the locations Lord of the Rings were shot at.
