I went to my local bird store (it's a 30 minute drive, but sooo worth it) to get some food and a toy for Sylvia (so I won't have to go out for a while after I have my baby). While I was there, I was told that I could play with any bird in the store (as long as it wasn't in a cage). Well, I wandered over and this beautiful baby macaw caught my eye. It turns out it was a Jubilee Macaw and he was just so adorable (even with a curved beak)!! I instantly fell in love, and he just cuddled with me while I was giving him scritchies. I finished my shopping and had to leave, when I turned and gave the baby more scritchies (I couldn't resist!). The woman working said that she's never seen the baby so relaxed and happy. He didn't want me to leave either-as I left, he tried to run off his perch and was screaming. I wanted to take him home so badly, but I'll have another small-turkey-sized baby coming home with me in a few weeks lol.
I knew I have a thing for birds, but I didn't know how much of a thing it was. I now completely understand how a lot of y'all have 4+ birds. (My hubby's a one-bird person, so getting another one before Sylvia decides she's too good for this world is out of the question)
I would have had pics, but since I went by myself I couldn't get any of me snuggling with the big baby.
