I'm working with Penny for her new Mommy and Daddy. She was rehomed because person said she didn't have time for her but wrote down she is NOT nippy and very sweet Yep she's sweet alright I have scars to prove it. Anyway she's doing great most of the time. Still quite nippy but we'll fix that slowly but surely.
Ahhhh the conure scars. I started counting once - gave up at 50. But after 5.5 years - and being asked by profs if I have chicken pox because of the number of raw bites on my hands - Duck and I are coming to an agreement and I currently only have one red nip on my thumb (I accidentally hit a sensitive pin).
I just hope the new owners don't give up on her. They tend to have let their linnie away with biting and now he is in his cage most of the time. I have them coming into the store once a week to work with her. They even said they are going to work with linnie so maybe this is a good thing all around?
I actually did the linnie's pins for them telling them this could add to his bad mood. I think they are fairly new and just need some guidance to bird ownership.
