Scooter and his sock buddy

This little guy hurt himself a couple of months ago on the grate of the cage when he fell. He's doing great except he keeps re-opening it up so we are attempting to put a sock buddy on him. We haven't quite conquered the making of this to fit him so he can't get all caught up in it but we are getting there.

Cutie! Is he comfortable being handled?

He panics when you try to get him out of the cage but once out he just loves to be cuddled. He goes home with his family next weekend. We find that if we put a towel on the bottom of the cage when we get him out he doesn't re-open his sore. I've been working with his new Mommy and Daddy and I feel they are ready to be able to handle a problem if it occurs now.

Is he going to a new family or back to his original family?

He's just a baby so this will be his first home. We kept him longer because of his injury

Poor little thing! Freddy knows all about those horrible falls.

He's doing great. The wound has dried up nicely and if he avoids reopening it all will be great. His weight is perfect

You mean around his actual legs?

Yes but he's not chewing on his sore now so he is healing without the sweater on now
