Two years ago I got a nice set of red, Ralph Lauren, flannel pajamas for Christmas. Veeeeery soft . However, when I first put them on, the bird started screaming and running away (YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP...). I eventually had to change so I could comfort him. I started some 'desensitization' - leaving the pajamas on the coffee table when he was in the family room, sticking them on Phil's lap when he was on his computer (both the bird and the Phil)...
A few weeks of that and I put them on again to be greeted enthusiastically with...YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP YEEP. *sigh*
So I retired the pajamas.
Recently, my Duck-friendly pajamas have been falling apart. The cuffs are fraying, the buttons are falling out, they have holes. After two seasons in storage, I brought out the red pajamas.
The Duck's response:
YAY!
Apparently the pajamas have been forgiven
Now to retry the silk leopard-print pj's Phil got me for my birthday a few years ago...
