Haven't Been Here In A While

Hey guys...I don't know if you remember me. I was a member on the old forum and came back because I am in a tough situation. My landlord is complaining about the vocals of my quaker parrot, Joey. I have been searching for a new place, but being up north there is not a lot for housing. I am thinking I am going to have to give him up, and that is why I am here. I live up past North Bay, but come back south (Kitchener/Stratford area) frequently. If anyone on here can take him or knows of someone who would like a quaker companion, please message me. He vocabulary is HUGE. It will take him a bit to warm up to anyone new, because he is the typical 1-person quaker. He is LOUD, but only a few times a day. He is a real charmer and deserves a good home. I don't want him to go to just anyone because he means a lot to me and that is why I am looking here first. He is 6 years old and I have been his only owner. When I say "he" it isn't official. "He" is not DNA sexed. You can message me for more details. Thanks guys.

Welcome back Katie. So sorry to hear you might need to rehome your Quaker.
Where near North Bay are you? I am in Sudbury, not too far away.
I will keep your little Quaker in mind. If I think of someone who might be able
to help you out I will let you know.

Sorry about Joey, that must be a very hard decision.
I hope you can find a caring home for him.
Unfortunately I don't know anyone up North but I will ask around for you.

Catherine: Thanks...I am about a 2.5 hour drive from Sudbury and if you knew someone trasportation could definately be arranged. I am just asking for a loving home for Joey. If the cage is needed I will have to charge a fee, as I have a linnie who would love the upgraded cage. All his toys/perches/food would go with him.
Carol: Thanks. Even if you knew someone back south anywhere near kitchener, Guelph, Cambridge, Stratford, London areas I woul be able to get him there as well. There are a lot of ignorant people out there when it comes to parrots and I just want to make sure he is not going to bounce from home to home.

Hi Katie
Currently I have a bunch of baby birds I need to find homes for but after they go I will work on hubby. I have always wanted a quaker, I adore their little voices. I live in Woodstock ON so close to Stratford.
I will also speak to my best friend whos father just lost his quaker to old age recently. He may take another one.
I will let you know either way through the forum.
