Hi All
I'm back sort of...I'm on so much pain medication that I'm literally nodding in and out but considering my surgery was on the 7th I feel I'm doing pretty well, but now I'm non weight bearing until August 19th which means I'm using a walker or crutches but my right foot/leg can't have any weight on it and now my arms and arm pits are killing me!If my husband hadn't got a lap top I'd be going nuts since I can't go outside yet.
My Meyers Bronco has come to the conclusion "Dad" will do in a pinch and hasn't bit him for 10 days which is a miracle. He's afraid of my splint and walker but has had shoulder time, treats and is quite happy to hear my voice and have a quick scritch on the head. My hubbies whitecapped pionus Xev didn't care I had treats but her feathers stand up if she hears the walker coming.
I see there are new members to the forum, Welcome.
We've had parrots now for 2 years with Bronco being a 5 year old rehomed bird when we got him and Xev was a hand fed chick but wasn't socialized to be a pet when we got her when she was about 8 months old last year. Xev was a B-day present from me because my husband got an anniversary present that turned out to hate him. We also have 2 senior cats Ginger 14 and Sheba 13, but the birds rule here.
