I'm not sure what is with him. For the past week he has been having a blast coming downstairs everyday. I have a birdsitter DVD that he loves, sometimes we listen to music, and everyday we have been doing a little training in between.
Yesterday he attacked me when I tried to take him out of his cage and I couldn't get him settled enough to come out all day. He seemed fine until I got near his cage and then he attacked with all intentions of killing my hand!!
So today I saw the same mood and used a stick instead. He tried to bite the stick (he's never done that before) and then when he did step up onto it, he went right for my hand. I dropped the stick and he went to the floor with it. He gladly stepped up onto my hand then, because the floor is his nemesis. All seemed fine as I took him downstairs, but as soon as he saw his play area, he went nuts and even "flew" away. He never flies so his wings aren't strong enough to keep him up. It's more like falling with some semblance of grace. Again, I picked him up and he was fine.
I did get him on his play stand by taking it very slowly and talking very calmly to him, and I have searched for anything that might be different in the room. I can't figure it out. He is taking the pine nuts from my fingers and trick training, but he is still clearly uncomfortable. I don't want to take him back to his cage because I don't want him to not feel safe and happy down here.
HELP Any suggestions???
