R.I.P. Tiki (1994-2011)

My little girl has a stroke or heart attack about 20 minutes ago. As you can imagine, I'm beyond grieving.

Chris I'm so so sorry.

Well, we took her today to Pet Haven Pet Cemetery to be cremated. She and Freddy were so close, that I figured they'd want to be with each other. This way, her remains can come with us wherever we go. Nice place, but oh so hard. I didn't want to give her little body to the woman. Still crying. Freddy and Callie aren't right, either. Callie is acting out and up, and Freddy (who always used to run all over Tiki's cage and nap on top over her head) is avoiding the cage completely.

In happier news, Callie went to Cornell on Wednesday. She's a little on the heavy side, but is in excellent feather. Hopefully, I'll mail in her DNA sample tomorrow. Motivation is still lacking in everyone here, right now.

It takes time to heal Chris.
Callie and Freddy feel your grief and the loss of a flock member.

Thanks, everyone! We're getting better, but Freddy is still depressed. He won't run around on top of her cage like he used to. And Callie has been afraid to go to sleep the past two nights. We put her cage cover on, and I can hear her having a panic attack inside. So, I've had to open the cover slightly to let her see me. Then she settles down. But, we'll get through it!

Oh Chris I wish there was something I could do to make it all better
